Maintenance therapy is a covered benefit under Medicare and can help to significantly prevent or slow declines in function that would otherwise occur for patients. Despite the fact that maintenance therapy has been a covered service, confusion regarding this benefit remains throughout the rehab community. This course provides the history of Medicare's No Improvement Standard and guidelines for how to determine which patients may qualify.
